Dr. Norman K. Weinstein graduated from the Medical School of Hahnemann University of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA in 1986. Following an Internship at Hahnemann University with completion in 1987, he performed his residency at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL and completed it in 1989. He completed a fellowship at The University of Chicago in 1992.
Dr. Weinstein is ABIM double board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine and his successful career has led him to a path of various successful publications. He has progressively assumed various leadership and administrative roles including direct oversite in the start up of one of the busiest interventional cardiology labs in the state of Florida. He has served as a clinical instructor. He is a member of the American College of Physicians. Previously he was a Fellow of the Society of Angiography and Interventions which includes the American College of Cardiology.
With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Weinstein treats many cardiac conditions including Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI), Angina Pectoris, Atrial Fibrillation and Atrial Flutter, Cardiac Arrhythmia, Cardiomyopathy, Diabetes Mellitus (DM) Disorders of Lipid Metabolism, Heart Failure, Hypertension (HTN), Ischemic Heart Disease, Mitral Valvular Disease, Valvular Heart Disease and AICD’s placement.
From Ocala, Florida he relocated to Mesa, Arizona and is now practicing at SWCVA providing care with state of the art equipment and an experienced cardiac clinical staff. He specializes in Interventional Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine and has privileges pending with Mountain Vista Hospital, Banner Baywood and Banner Heart Hospital in Mesa, AZ.
